Join the Northeast Oregon Small Woodlands Association (NEOSWA) for a day in the woods at Eccoci Ranch on the western slopes of the Wallowa Mountains. Connect with fellow woodland owners, hear real-world experiences, and explore practical approaches to caring for small forest properties.
Attendees will get to:
Learn about fire hardening, defensible space, and property assessments from fire professionals and Firewise communities
Explore the question: “What do I do with these 20 acres of forest?” through hands-on scenario discussions covering different management options
Hear perspectives on the many values of forestland, including stewardship, timber, wildlife, and working lands.
Attendance is free but registration is encouraged. Lunch will be provided. Tour will be held outdoors, rain or shine, and will require moderate walking/hiking; please dress for changing weather conditions and outdoor activities.
